Backing on to the beautiful Sydney Harbour, we commenced work on a three-storey harborside home that was in need of a complete makeover and extension to truly capitalize on the harbour views and maximize its location.

The owner and his lovely wife contacted Ridgemont Constructions after having had us recommended to them through a previous client.

They envisioned a wraparound glass elevator running up and down the cliff face at the rear of the house, taking them from what is essentially the fourth floor, all the way down to their very own boat shed, sitting on the Sydney harbour.

The old boat shed was also transformed into a new boat home, worthy of its position on the harbour and the aging three storey home was completely renovated throughout, adding a sun room at the rear of the house, to capture the breathtaking views.

Due to the unique location of this home, materials were brought in via the ocean, with ocean barges being used to cart in over 50 skip bins, as well as the glass elevator and all of the building materials for this transformation.

In the process of works at this project, the lovely lady next door asked if we could take a look at her home and give her some ideas.

This led to us completing not only an upgrade of her home, but an absolute transformation of her harbour facing backyard, constructing multi-layered retaining walls, leading all the way from the house at the top of the clifftop, right down to the harbour. The before and after yard transformation can be seen in the pictures attached.
